The 2007 National Brown Swiss
Sale provided an exciting conclusion for the National Brown Swiss
Convention held in Syracuse, NY July 10-14. The New York Yankee and
baseball theme highlighted a tremendous line up of All Stars well
appreciated by buyers from 18 states and 3 Canadian provinces. The
final average of $7,208. on 61 head of live cattle exceeded prior
National Sales by a considerable margin to establish a new Breed
record. The previous high average goes way back to the Indiana 500
National Sale that averaged $5,470 in 1979. An outstanding offering
of 22 embryos averaged $931.82. Heavily emphasized in sale
promotion, the amazing group of 16 milking two year olds averaged
$10,825.
