76th Annual Eastern Breeders' Sale
51 Head Averaged $2072

A pleasant fall day and a new sale venue helped to make a positive event for this year's Eastern Breeders' Sale. The sale was conducted in the Hosking Sales facility in New Berlin, New York. Several new buyers provided additional spirit to this long running sales series. The overall average was $2072 on 57 head going to seven states. An additional 6 September project calves averaged $830.00.

Topping the day at $6400 was Top Acres Garbro Wanda ET, a fancy Legacy bred heifer from Round Hill Pre Wishful ET, a "2E91" All American. She was purchased by Brian Sparling, Ralston, Pennsylvania and was the consignment of Garrison Brothers, West Salem, Ohio.

Next in line at $4900 was Sun-Made SD Prsg Vivian ET, a Power Surge heifer bred to Bonanza. Her dam is the "3E93" Genesis Even Victoria. Thus Vivian is a maternal sister to Vigor. Bob Gould and Bruce Dearborn of Hadley, Massachusetts consigned this special heifer that was taken by Elite Dairy, Copake, New York.

Modern Associates managed the Eastern Breeders' Sale with Wayne Sliker also making announcements. Tom Hosking was auctioneer assisted in the ring by Gorden DeMay and Richard Stephens. Brian Garrison and Jerry Harkness helped with selections as well as support on sale day. Connie Sliker and Kathy DeMay clerked the sale and New York Juniors assisted with presentation.
